We all have opinions about the type of aircraft we fly, but what about where we land our aircraft? Do you prefer a Grassy or Paved landing?

I love a nice grass strip, but my airplane only has tiny 5" tires on it, so the grass has to be really smooth, dry and trimmed! I also have a T-Tail which doesn't lend itself to raising the nosewheel early for a proper soft field takeoff. Still...
Most of my time was spent on grass due to cost, in addition to a hangar, my own. I did have a stay on a paved field, and contrary to popular "belief", I wore out more tires on grass, not to mention constant vigillence of struts, prop, paint, and even brakes.
I live on a 2800 ft. grass runway, in an Airpark. I like landing on grass, it is more forgiving in a crosswind and less wear on the tires. I like hard surface for takeoff, less resistence to get airborne. Hard surface is best when raining or plowing snow off. I don't have ski on my airplane. Besides, I don't like cold.
Any landing on whatever surface is available and you're walking away from it safely is a good landing.
It is always dependent upon the pilot and his (or her) ability to fly and land the aircraft safely and smoothly
One last factor in the equation is that God is your Co-Pilot and He alone gives you that ability and coordination to do it right.
My home field has both a surfaced runway and a parallel grass strip. I prefer the hard surface for takeoffs, but the grass strip for landings. And, why not it is wider, longer, and the grass is easier on the tires and landing gear. This is a case of having the best of all worlds--the hard surfaces R/WY does not get slippery or soft after a heavy rain--so again choice is available.
